SKUAST-JAMMU STUDENTS WINS AWARDS AT ALL INDIA AND STATE LEVEL COMPETITIONS
Vice Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, Prof. J. P. Sharma today interacted with the students of the university who brought laurels in different All India and State level competitions. Ms. Shreetama Roy (Bsc Agri 2nd Year Student) participated and delivered presentation on “Millet Revolution of India” during Krishi- Manthan: A Case Study Competition organized by Prakriti IIT Kharagpur and got 2nd position at National level with a cash prize of Rs 6000/- and Certificate of Excellence. Ms. Mridul Sharma and Ms Sakshi Sharma (BSc. Agri 1st year students) participated in 20th Veeranna Aivalli Memorial Debate Competition on the topic “In the Opinion of the House, It is Culture of Sports & Not Just Government Policy That Can Improve Indian Medal Tally at Olympics 2024” organized by Indian Institute of Public Administration (J&K Regional Branch) & J&K Police in Collaboration with University of Jammu, Jammu. Both the students got appreciation from the organizers for their excellent presentation. Ms. Vanshika Behnal (BSc Agri 3rd year student) participated in All India Essay Writing Competition organized by Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh on the topic “Sir Syed as a Protagonist of Interfaith Dialogue”. Ms. Vanshika got State Topper Position at national level and awarded with a cash prize and certificate of excellence. Prof. J. P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu appreciated the efforts of students for bringing laurels to the SKUAST Jammu. He further said that our students keep making us proud of their achievements. We always look forward to supporting our students and their journey to innovation and creation for a better future. Prof. Rakesh Nanda, Director Education and Prof S K Gupta, Registrar SKUAST Jammu were also present during the facilitation programme held at Vice chancellors Secretariat. Prof. J. P. Sharma congratulates Dr. Rajesh Katoch (Dean Student Welfare) and Dr. Akhil Gupta, Associate Professor for guidance which has helped the students in achieving these recognitions.
