Government Degree College Marheen organises Online Webinar on “Anxiety, the remedy thereof’

Kathua, September 24: A one day Webinar on the topic “Anxiety, the remedies thereof” organised by GDC Marheen today under the Guidance of worthy Principal Dr. Romilla Malla Bhat.

The webinar coordinator Assistant Professor Sonika Jasrotia, and Convener Psychological cum career counselling cell introduced the resource person, made the audience aware about the topic, and addressed the audience that it is a very proud moment that we are organizing such an informative webinar for the students and faculty.

The Principal Dr. Romilla Malla Bhat in her formal welcome address expressed her views on today’s topic and motivated the students to take part in such informative webinars. She further expressed her gratitude to Dr.Nisar Ahmad Wani for imparting valuable Knowledge to our students.

The Resource Person of the webinar Assistant Professor Psychology, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Wani, explained the definition, types, effects, symptoms and remedies of anxiety. He explained in detail how to manage anxiety by understanding what triggers it and also gave the methods to overcome it. He also advised the students to take part in various physical and mental activities to enhance their emotional quotient and prevent themselves to go into isolation.

The webinar culminated with a vote of thanks by co-convener Psychology cum career counselling cell Prof. Deepak Gupta. He assured the students that these remedial measures will be taken into consideration by the faculty while imparting instructions in classes or on field during sports activities. He impressed upon the students that they should bring any such difficulty faced by them to the psychological and counselling cell and the experts in the field will address their problems.

Physical Director, of the college Sh. Pradeep encouraged the students to take part in sports activities and use it as stress busters. A large number of students attended the program via offline/online mode and COVID 19 protocol was observed. @@@Report by AKHIL Pangotra
