Srinagar Municipal Corporation launches week long massive anti encroachment drive in Srinagar.

A massive anti encroachment drive was started today by Srinagar Municipal Corporation in the parts of Srinagar. Launched under the supervision of Chief anti encroachment officer Mr.Mudasir Hussain Banday and anti encroachment officer Mr.Shakeel Ahmad Bhat , the drive aims at keeping the pavements and footpaths free of any encroachment to ensure the hassle free movement of the pedestrians and passersby. The anti encroachment teams were accompanied by several officials from SMC.
Starting the drive from from Jehangir chowk the anti encroachment teams carried out the drive at many places like Maharaja Bazar,Maisuma,Residency Road,Lal Chowk,Dalgate,Nishat,Shalimar,Foreshore Road,Hazratbal,Saida Kadal,Rainawari and khanyar localities. During the drive, three truck loads of encroached goods were seized including hand carts from roadside vendors etc.
