As a part of public outreach programme Thana Diwas was organised by District Police Jammu at PS Arnia. SP Hqrs. Jammu Sh Ramnish gupta alongwith SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh ,SHO Arnia Sh Davinder Singh attended the programme. Sarpanches/panches ,councillors ,ex sarpanches and prominent citizens of the area were present which include Parshotam Sharma Principal R.L Public School Arnia, Kailash Saini Councillor, Sarpanch Balbir Kour village Trewa, Yashpal Saini Councillor, Bunty Ex Sarpanch Tingreyaly and others attended the thana diwas .During the programme the public representatives highlighted a no. of issues of public importance and a patient hearing was given to the grievances/suggestions/demands raised by the participants and they were assured that their genuine grievances will be solved on priority basis. The threadbare discussion was on how to control the drugs, organising sports events, following motor vehicle laws, special recruitment more such meetings ,awareness programmes in schools.The participants were advised to remain extra alert as this tehsil is located on IB and if they notice anything suspicious ,inform the local police like any vehicle ,person ,sighting of drone etc. The participants assured the full cooperation with the police at any time. About 40/50 persons attended the thana divas.
