Romesh Khajuria receives rousing welcome after appointment as Chairman WWEPC, GOI
Jammu, Apr 3:
Hundreds of people gathered to felicitate the newly appointed Chairman of Govt. of India’s Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council (under the administrative control of ministry of Textiles) on first time arrival in Native village,Rehal in Bishnah.
Khajuria, who hailed from Rehal, Bishnah recently succeeded Sanjeev Dhir and takes over as Chairman WWEPC, GOI
People in the village showered pelts and garlands on son of soil on achieving a rare fate and brought laurels for Jammu and Kashmir UT as well as Jammu in particular.
Speaking on the occasion, Khajuria, the incumbent chairman of Govt. of India’s Wool & Woollens export promotion council (under the administrative control of ministry of Textiles) expressed gratitude to people for their tremendous love, affection and support.
Appreciating the endurance of the government of India Khajuria said that autonomous institutions and government bodies functioning more democratic and transparent in Modi’s Governments.
He said that the workings of export promotion bodies functioning under the administrative control of government have become more democratic and transparent after the implementation of foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 (FTP 2015-20) and extended further.
Khajuria said after the implementation of FTP 2015-20 elections of vice chairman, committee of administrations (COAs) and nomination of chairman in the export promotion organisations give chances to grass root level entrepreneurs to come forward with genuine issues of the concerned industry and bring for discussion at appropriate platforms for their solutions.
Khajuria further said that the WWEPC would engage the wool growers of Jammu and Kashmir for addressing the issue of employability and financial sustainability.
