THEFT CASE SOLVED, THIEF ARRESTED, STOLEN ITEMS RECOVERED BY SAMBA POLICE
District Police Samba under the able guidance of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, IPS has worked out a theft case registered at PS Samba and recovered stolen items with the arrest of accused person.
On 13.02.2022 a written complaint was lodged at PS Samba by one complainant namely Rajesh Sethi S/o Durga Dass R/O W.No. 07 Bantalab, Samba stating therein that some unknown thief has stolen his laptop, mobile phone, credt card, pendrives, etc. from his house.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 28/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC has registered at P/S Samba and investigation started to work out the said theft case.
During the course of investigation, a Police team of PS Samba headed by SHO PS Samba Inspr.Deepak Jasrotia under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Samba, Mohd. Usman obtained vital clues with the help of technical assistance and from the scrutiny of CCTV footage of nearby areas and nabbed one suspect namely Kunal Teji S/O Rakesh Kumar W.No. 07 Bantalab Samba.
During sustained questioning, the accused person confessed his involvement in said theft case and on his disclosure following stolen items were recovered:
(1) one Sony laptop along with bag and charger
(2) Two pendrives
(3) One mobile phone
(4) one credit card
Further investigation is going on to ascertain the involvement of the accused in other theft cases. @@@@Report by AKHIL Pangotra
