Ajaz Ahmad sofi was declared winner with 606 votes, win by 140.
“It is a great honour for me that the traders Re-elected me as their president. I will work for the development of traders as i have worked in the past on same post” Ajaz Ahmad sofi told that after he was elected PTF Handwara.
The day long elections of traders federation of handwara was held with fervour, under the chairman election board Gh Rasool wani and vice Chairman Ab Rashid malik . The voting was held from 8 am to 02:00 pm.
Two candidates had filed their nomination papers including former president Ajaz Ahmad sofi and Mansoor Ahmad bhat,
The newly president assured the people associated with trade and business that he will work tirelessly to solve the different problems faced by them.
A number of people including political and non political organisations, Journalists, civil society members congratulated Ajaz Ahmad sofi and Sheikh shazad for becoming the president and General Secretary respectively of the federation.
