In a joint operation, the District Administration Jammu retrieved about 41 Kanals of prime JDA land at Sector No.6, in Upper Roop Nagar area of Jammu North.

The government teams amidst strong resistance from the land grabbers, especially their women folk, managed to retrieve 41 kanals of land worth crores, falling between Janipur Colony and eastern part of Upper Roop Nagar Colony.

The total of 46 Kanals of JDA land as per record, 41 Kanal of it has been retrieved and remaining will also be cleared shortly. Over 80 % of the retrieved land was fenced by the JDA team on the spot.

The workers of DOGRA FRONT & SHIV SENA u dear the leadership of President Mr ASHOK GUPTA took out a massive protest rally in Jammu city against the encroachers of the JDA land in Roop Nagar.

Party workers raised slogans shouting भू माफिया hai hai.

The party president stated that political parties are playing petty politics over the entire matter and are trying to give it a communal shape which is very far from reality. The land belongs to Jammu Development Authority land falling under khasra No. 1193 and 1206 which has been auctioned by the JDA in 2014.

The land has been encroached since past 2-3 decades and than in 2014 the land was auctioned by the JDA to the locals through a transparent process and a case was filed in the court whose ruling has been to allot the possession to the allottes of the JDA .

After the court favoured ruling the anti encroachment drive was initiated and the land has been freed by the JDA and local authorities.

People like Mehbooba Mufti and other political parties like congress, Apni party has been supporting the encroacher’s and claiming it as an cleansing of Gujjars but on the contrary it is just one family who has encroached the land and has nothing to do with Gujjars.

The party president further stated that land grabber has no religion he can be a Hindu, Sikh, Muslim,Christian or an Gujjar, he will still be an encroacher.

Taking mufti under the boil he stated that under the government of PDP the land was allotted and auctioned by JDA and now she is protesting against it by plating her petty communal politics.

Mr Gupta congratulated the VC JDA Pankaj Mangotra and Div Com Raghav Langar for the valiant effort as they have making sure that the law takes it course and Jammu should prosper.

The party people who were present at the time of protest were Birbal, Ashish, Sushil, Sampuran, Bantu, Prem, Kalu, Fauji, Lovely, Brij, Ashuk and various others were present.
