ARMY ORGANISES LECTURE ON WORLD HEALTH DAY

As part of World Health Day celebration and to rouse awareness about importance of COVID vaccination, a lecture was conducted in various schools so that the myths being propagated can be countered at the grass roots level. Due to hilly terrain & inaccessibility of medical authorities into remote areas, the general population in these villages is unaware about benefits of innoculation. Therefore, the Kalakot garrison and its troops present in block of Pouni, Talwara and Mohogala took up the responsibility to spread the word to rouse awareness on this pertinent topic.
A large population in these areas have limited understanding of current situation of pandemic. In the lack of available information via media, number of rumours and myths have cropped up which is further proving to be detrimental to Vaccination Drive and fight against Corona Virus. In order to counter these rumours and myths the Rashtriya Riffles troops reached out the children of schools to take this message to their homes and villages and encourage max population to join the vaccination drive and eradicate COVID-19 pandemic. Taking advantage of the World Health Day celebration troops of Rashtriya Rifles conducted lectures on COVID safety measures, symptoms of the disease and effects of the vaccination. The initiative aims to recruit children as COVID warriors and Myth Busters in the COVID vaccination drive. The novel idea will invigorate proliferation of correct information and boost efforts of government to innoculate maximum number of citizens and eradicate corona virus from our nation.

The initiative by Army once again proves the credibility of Rashtriya Rifles as harbingers of peace and stability in the region. The continuous efforts of army to reach out to Awam despite of resurgence of large number of cases is much appreciated by the local population and students alike.
