Indian Ambassador to Italy inaugurated the Indian pavilion

New Delhi, Dec 7: Son of soil Romesh Khajuria , Vice Chairman Wool & Woolen Export Promotion Council (WWEPC), Ministry Of Textiles, Govt. of India, leads the delegation of WWEPC Members to Milan, Italy.

Her Excellency , Indian Ambassador to Italy , Dr. Neena Malhotra inaugurated the Indian Pavilion along with T Anjugla Jamir Consulate General of India in Milan. They visited at AF’L Artigiano Fair , Milan , Italy. The event was jointly organized by WWEPC and PDEXCIL. Romesh Khajuria, vice chairman Wool & Woollens Export promotion Council (WWEPC) leading the delegation of member exporters of WWEPC to Milan , Italy delivered welcome address and said that more than 75 entrepreneurs, artisans and weavers from various parts of India are participating in the fair.

He further added that Hon’ble Prime Minister of India sh. Narendra Modi while taking on board all Indian foreign missions in abroad , industry, state/UT Governments and other stakeholders set a target of USD 400 billion exports from India during current financial year 2021-22 and Vanijya Saptha under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav was celebrated from 20 to 26 September 2021 while showcasing the quality products from all the regions in different cities of India aims to promote export quality products, vocal for local , awareness and interaction on exports and various export related issues.

Antonio Intagliata, president, Gabriele Alberti, CEO , Ge Fe Spa, organizer of ALF 2021 and Vandhana Yadav India representative were also present. Antonio Intagliata, president given the certificate of appreciation to Ambassador and Romesh Khajuria.

Romesh Khajuria, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir, said that more than 25 entrepreneurs/artisans from J&K are displaying their quality products in the fair. Which is also focus area of the govt. of India . About 1800 stands from 80 countries are here in the fair. Khajuria said that WWEPC Chairman, sh. Sanjeev Dhir took initiative for Indian participation in the fair in spite of restrictions of COVID 19 and WWEPC staff members are doing very hard work in providing marketing platforms to WWEPC members in various countries in this tough time.
Mr. Khajuria also thanks Indian exhibitors to pose trust in WWEPC & PDEXCIL and participante in the fair.
H E Ambassador Dr Meena Malhotra addressed the gathering and interacted with the participants which boost the morale of the exhibitors.
