DDC Rajouri reviews progress under District Capex Budget 2020-21

Modalities for the preparation of District Capex Budget 2021-22 also discussed

Special team’s to be constituted to monitor the completed projects

Rajouri, April, 06: To review the physical and financial achievements made under different schemes under the financial year 2020-21 and to discuss the modalities regarding the preparation of District Capex Budget 2021-22, the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan on Tuesday convened a meeting with the concerned officers here in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bunglow.

Among the others, ADC Rajouri, Sher Singh; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; GM DIC, Manzoor Hussain; SE Jal Shakti, SR Shukla; SE PWD, Shahid Latief; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; CAO, Mahesh Verma; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep; DFO Social Forestry; Executive Engineers of the Jal Shakti, PWD, PDD, I & FC, REW and other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the DDC took a detailed stock of the physical and financial achievements under different schemes and projects being executed by different executing agencies including PWD, Jal Shakti, RDD, Power, JKPCC, Education, Health and I&FC Departments, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry and other sectors in the district. Issues about the execution of works on these projects were also discussed threadbare in the meeting.

While reviewing the progress of the PWD Rajouri division, the meeting was informed that against the target of constructing 134 bunkers, the work on 124 is complete in all respects. Regarding the progress on roads, bridges and buildings, it was given out that out of 64 roads,13 bridges and 06 buildings, the work on 19 roads, 06 bridges and 02 buildings is complete and the rest are under different phases of execution. Under NABARD, the work on 02 schemes out of 21 is complete. Similarly in the PWD Nowshera subdivision, the meeting was informed that out of 12 NABARD schemes, the work on 03 is complete.

About the PMGSY Department Rajouri and Budhal subdivision, the meeting was informed that the work on 57 schemes out of 138 schemes and the work on 86 schemes out of 124 schemes are complete in Rajouri and Budhal subdivision respectively and the rest are under different phases of execution.

Regarding the Power sector in the Rajouri subdivision, the meeting was apprised that out of 04 works under B2V, 03 are complete and under BADP, the work on 02 projects out of 03 is complete. Similarly, the progress regarding other schemes of the PDD in Rajouri and Kalakote subdivisions was also reviewed in depth.

While reviewing the progress of the RDD sector, the concerned officer informed that as many as 31278 houses have been registered under PMAY, 30682 have been sanctioned and 30796 have been geotagged. He also briefed the meeting about the progress regarding other important schemes like MGNREGA, Adhar seeding, Bunkers and others.DDC directed the concerned officer from RDD to complete the work on all the PMAY houses by the end of May this year.

DDC asked the concerned officers to speed up the work on the projects and mobilise their men and machinery to ensure the time-bound completion of work on the projects so that the public for whom these projects are being executed can be provided necessary benefits with the completion of the same.

DDC directed the concerned Executive Engineers from the PWD to complete the work on blacktopping of all the roads within the municipal limits at the earliest. He asked the concerned officers from different departments to submit the list of all the ongoing works and the works completed during the financial year 2020-21 so that the same could be uploaded to the portal of the District Administration for the awareness of the general public.

DDC also asked the concerned officers to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out from availing the benefits of the welfare schemes and programmes being implemented by their departments in the district.

It was decided in the meeting that a special team comprising of BDC Chairpersons, DDC members, Sarpanches, Panches and Lokmitra would be constituted and the team would carry out an inspection of all the works completed by different departments during the financial year 2020-21 in the district and the team shall submit its report in this regard by end of May this year.

While discussing the modalities regarding the preparation of District Capex Budget 2021-22, the DDC asked the concerned officers to prioritise the works and take up only those works which are feasible and can be completed in the current financial year besides, he also directed them to prepare the plan only in consultation with the PRIs.
