GDC Jourian Shines with Gold Medal at Jammu University Inter-College Athletics Meet.

Jourian: Government Degree College (GDC) Jourian brought laurels to the institution by winning a Gold Medal in the Inter-College Athletics Meet held at the prestigious University of Jammu.

Isha Devi, a student of Semester 2nd, secured the Gold Medal in the 3000-meter race, displaying remarkable stamina, determination, and athletic excellence. Her outstanding performance made the college proud and highlighted the growing sports culture at GDC Jourian.

On this occasion, Dr. Suresh Sharma, Convenor of the College Sports Committee, congratulated the student for her exceptional achievement. He especially appreciated the relentless efforts and dedication of Dr. Waseem Elahi Dar ,Physical Director whose guidance and hard work have significantly contributed to the college’s success in sports. He remarked that the continuous efforts of the sports committee are yielding excellent results, as students of GDC Jourian are consistently shining in inter-college competitions.

Prior to this, two students of Sem.2nd namely Goutam Kumar & Sajan Kumar also brought honor to the college by winning Silver Medals in Wrestling & Weight -lifting respectively at the Inter-College competition.

The worthy Principal of the college, Dr. Anuradha Pandoh, congratulated the medal winners and lauded the commitment of Dr. Waseem Elahi Dar. She expressed her pride in the students’ achievements and stated that the winning spirit of GDC Jourian will continue to grow stronger in the future.

The entire college fraternity celebrated the success, marking yet another milestone in the institution’s sporting journey.
